New Insights

Book cites new studies or otherwise offers fresh insights. I've been looking for myself in these books esp. this past year because I don't know what happened to me, and/or what happened to me as a result of what happened to me. This book makes some points that were new to me - that IGNORING a report of child sexual abuse is more likely to lead to borderline personality disorder. I already knew of the link between abuse & BPD - ignoring report being linked is a whole nuther level. Also, just a little statement in the book linking nightmares to anxiety - duh! But so much more helpful than all my googling of (adult) nightmares which netted me nothing except "that's whatchyer thinkin' 'bout" - yeah, thanks, so helpful. Again, this takes it to another level - even if you can't solve all the things you're having nightmares about, maybe you can better deal with the anxiety, but do be careful of your meds. The part about family's negative reaction to therapy and effect for client was so CLEAR and so supportive, I made a breakthrough (on a LONG-standing issue with nary a clue, in therapy for 30 years - when do I get my gold watch?!) just reading it.

Bill Tompkins was embedded in the world of secrecy as a teenager, when the Navy took his personal ship models out of a Hollywood department store because they showed the classified locations of the radars and gun emplacements. After working at North American Aviation and Northrop, he was hired by Douglas Aircraft Company in 1950, and when they found out about his involvement in classified work, was given a job as a to create design solutions as a draftsman with a peripheral assignment to work in a “think tank”. This work was partly controlled by the Navy personnel who used to work for James Forrestal, who was allegedly assassinated because he was going to publicly reveal what he knew about UFOs. Bill Tompkins was asked to conceive sketches of mile-long Naval interplanetary craft designs.
Later, as he became involved in the conventional aspects of the Saturn Program that later became the Apollo launch vehicle, his insight to system engineering resulted in his offering some critical suggestions personally to Dr. Wernher von Braun about ensuring more reliable checkout using the missiles in their vertical position and also some very efficient launch control concepts adopted by both NASA and the Air Force.
This story is peppered with very personal interactions with his co-workers and secretaries, some of whom the author believes to be Nordic aliens helping the “good guys” here on Earth. Towards the end of this volume of his autobiography, he sketches what he personally saw on TV when Armstrong was landing on the moon.
Born in May 1923, Bill Tompkins is one of the few survivors of the “big war” who is still healthy, married to the same girl Mary, and is willing to tell his story about what he really did during his aerospace life in the 40s, 50s and 60s that relate to aliens, NASA and secrets that now can be told.

Whistle-blower=hero! Great disclosure of multiple aerospace black projects for truth movement. Now the whistle-blowers of the SSP like Corey Goode and Randy Cramer, Michael Relfe have more information in their camp to substantiate their claims by this disclosure. Tompkins' Think Tank designs and plans explain places thousands have dwelled and worked on Mars and in the solar system. Someone should do a round-table interview and post on Youtube with William Mills Tompkins & Randy Cramer, who lived at Forward station Zebra (Horseshoe design) quite far from Aries Prime and discuss the Naval Base city living and day to day living, command centers and technologies and the classes of Naval Space ships that Tompkins conceived in his plans! Would be so interesting and appreciated!

May Surprise readers: Nazi syndicates still thrive

Ran across a name of German friend's Dad in the book. He was a Nazi aerospace engineer from Operation Paperclip post WWII. These are husbands, grandfathers, friends, OUR neighbors. We are in this together!

There are hard to read parts: Key Club...Occult behavior and unhealthy sexuality, manipulation of the engineers! People who are abducted or vanish! Deals to exchange ET technology allowing syndicates to abduct humans for DNA. But to heal we must accept these dark parts of the narrative...The leadership giving up our free will to allow us to be in this master slave arrangement with the reptilians-enough already. We need to grow up, move on and raise our consciousness to heal and enter the golden age and be a good galactic neighbor and custodian of earth.

In the book, Selected by Extraterrestrials, author Bill Tompkins attempts to reveal his memories of his life up until about 1970. In some reports, he had copies of documents that supported his recollections. In others, he did not. One of those was an alleged recollection of a conversation held with Jacques Vallee when Jacques would have been a teen-ager in the 1950s since Vallee was born in 1939. Since Vallee’s own autobiography (Forbidden Science, volumes 1 and 2) clearly implies that he was never in the U.S. prior to 1962, it is likely that the Tompkins’ recollection of this conversation is incorrect, perhaps with respect to both timing and scope. As the editor of this book, I should have been more aggressive in establishing the authenticity or lack thereof for this quote. I have seen no written evidence that such statements were made and I believe that author Bill Tompkins does not have such evidence either.
I therefore feel it proper to apologize to Dr. Vallee for attributing to him a quote that appears to be quite unsubstantiated, and recommend that those interested in his life with respect to the UFO issue read both of his volumes of Forbidden Science and become acquainted with the exceptional insight he has offered to the UFO phenomenon in his many books and publications.

Deeply troubling to learn about the truth of ET and UFO reality. A highly revealing work, it is absolutely a 'game changer' in relation to our understanding of this earth-shaking truth. Where has all of our tax payer dollars gone. . . .? Isn't it about time, we be informed by our government officials about what we as taxpayers have achieved via development of ET technology. This book is sexually very explicit and it may detract from the validity of the material, but the ET influence on the human mind can be measured by these sexually-influenced outcomes of R & D.
A very unusual book about a highly unusual topic, a must read, if you dare.

About the Author
Dr. Sten Odenwald is an astronomer at the National Institute of Aerospace, and works at the NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center in Maryland. He has published over 100 articles on astronomy in his research areas of star formation, the cosmic infrared background, and space weather. He is an award-winning science popularize with nine books published since 1995 along with numerous articles for magazines such as Astronomy and Sky and Telescope. He has also appeared on TV and radio programs discussing the vulnerability of our technology and health to solar storms. An excellent book, full of very useful facts and figures

An excellent book, full of very useful facts and figures. The arguments which support the complexities associated with interstellar travel are very well presented and at a level which is easily comprehensible. I read the book in less than a day and will use it as a reference. The only thing which could have improved it (and likely put the cost up) is to use better quality figures and in colour as some of the text refers to colour annotations in black and white figures. I would certainly buy from this author again and look forward to Dr Odenwald's next book.

A Very Good Book but with a But

Generally the book was very good but I did find some issues with how the book was laid-out by the publisher.

The writing was excellent as was the content. I enjoyed the “going down memory lane” with references to Sci-Fi books & authors. There were so many topics that I relished where it would be difficult to pick on one but I will with “Space is not all that Empty!” which included as an example analysis of the impact of dust grains when travelling sub-light speeds. There was good mix of scientific calculations, facts and explanations. Notwithstanding the “Astronomer’s Guide”, this book should have widespread appeal to those are interested in interstellar travel beyond a discussion on the various means of locomotion.

The negatives. The various pictures were untitled, many I could guess at but not all; and while there were “Image Credits” at the back of the book, not all images in the book were referenced here. The text referred to a graph on the next page with “green shade” - - - the problem is the graph is B&W, not in colour. The ordering of the Bibliography is not in the order that the Chapters appear in the book.

I would like to give this book five stars but have to drop it one star because of the “negatives”. Nevertheless I would recommend this book to others who are interested in Interstellar Travel.

Backs up arguments with quantitation in costs and physics, Would have liked more depth with problems facing humans in the areas of biology and psychology. Most books on possible space travel either sugar coat, or don't even mention, the formidable problems facing people on such long trips within and outside our Solar System.
