I was initially reluctant to read yet another young adult series because they all seem to fall into the same category of boring lately. However, I got the 1st book in the series for free and said to myself, what the hay. I am thrilled to say I could not put it down and was very upset that it had ended. I clicked on my trusty Amazon link, typed in the author's name and the rest is history. I love the characters and the way they seem to grow and mature with each book. There is some violence and I found my eyes watering a few times when characters passed that I had grown to like. I purchased all of the books that were available in a two day period. Now I have a bunch of ebooks waiting for me to read. I guess you are wondering why I have not given any names or even hinted at the plots? Well, I want you to read for yourself. I hate book reviews that practically tell the who story like a mini version of cliff notes so I refuse to do it. Just read them!

The Complete Katon University Series

Wonderful series. Having all the books together keeps the continuity of the story flowing. The characters are well rounded and interesting. You find yourself experiencing their emotions as though you were there and rooting for them to suceed. These are people I would like to have as my friends. The story grabs you and will not let go - you have to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more about the main characters as I understand they are also in the upcoming series 'Mosaic'.

but I am so glad I did

I have not read a lot of YA Fiction. When I read the first book of this series I wanted to read more about the characters. I'm not sure how or where I heard from Andrea Pearson's books, but I am so glad I did. The story did not disappoint me, on the contrary I love it. I love the characters, how the story develops and how they grow to become stronger in their magical powers, the strong friendship they have and the kind of YA they become throughout all the books. After I finished book 5 (Reclaim) I wanted to read more about Nicole and Austin. I love it!!!! Thanks Andrea!!!!

A Very Useful, Informative and Practical Grammatical Lexicon

As the preface to this edition indicates, this Grammar is designed for the literary student of English as opposed to the student of philology. Thus, the emphasis is on practical issues of the language. In other words, it eschews lengthy and digressive forays into the history or context of certain linguistic developments (though it does touch on certain essential matters) and focuses instead on the issues most pertinent to one who wishes to begin mastering the basics and intermediate elements of the language, such as inflexions, cases, syntactical issues. One does not need to bring a broad basis of linguuistic training/experience to bear; but one should keep in mind that it is presented like a traditional lexicon one might encounter in Latin or Greek, i.e., no handholding through the practical elements of the language - nor is it riddled with practice sentences or parallel examples in ModE. For those, however, who want to undertake a rigorous and systematic study of the basics of OE, this is a very handy and practical Grammar reference with which to begin such an endeavor.

Not for those unaquainted with the Old English language

This is not the most well-organized Old English Grammar in existence, but it does serve a certain purpose. There is a wealth of information and interesting tid-bits of philological lore, but it is not an introduction to the language by any means (just a warning). Those who do have an understanding of the language would do well to own it, at least for reference purposes, but there are much better and more concise grammars available.

Easy and simple reference

I have used this book frequently for reference and found it handy and easy to understand.

However, I always complement it with Good Word Guide, Usage and Abusage, and The Right Word at the Right Time - A Guide in English Language and How to use It (Reader Digest) for a comprehensive understanding.

The size of the book made it handy for travel reference.

The only shortcoming of this book is that it tend to be rather brief and have fewer examples compared to the other reference books that I used to as complements.

A Great Reference Book for Writers

There are many questions about grammar that a writer encounters. Often those questions are not addressed in the standard writer's reference books. This book has been the mainstay of writers for nearly a century. It has been updated recently to include and reflect computer references and changes in our ever-evolving language. It also indicates differences in American and British English usage, which is great. It's a hefty volume that won't really fit in your pocket, but it is a super reference I recommend every writer have on the shelf and handy.

King Tut

This book is a very interesting story.I would recommend it for 3rd grade and above.The only thing I did not like about it was it did not have a lot of information on king tut.It mostly just had info on Egypt.Other than that I think it was a wonderful book with great vocabulary. The author really described things very well and made me feel like I was there.I loved the pictures with great detail . If you were doing a history report on king Tut or Egypt this book would come in handy.Thank you for reading my review and I hope you decide to read this book.

This book has answers to both even and odd problems from the text. It's also very detailed on how to work each problem out. If chemistry really isn't your thing, you should really consider making this purchase!

Great tool for chem

This is one if the most useful texts for solving chemistry equations. It has both even and odd problems clearly worked out, so you can work more problems at the end of the chapters. If you get the wrong answer, you can check here and see where you went wrong. My text is a later edition, but about 90% of the problems are the same. Worth every penny. If you want an A get this.
